Mehwish Hayat is an award winning Pakistani actress, model, and philanthropist who has become one of the most popular and successful actresses in Pakistan.  She’s delivered seven back- to-back hit movies in a row, earning over $25 million at the box office, a record for any female actor in her homeland. She starred in a significant role in Ms. Marvel, the incredible six-part series for Disney+. Her fame goes well beyond her native Pakistan, and she is a widely celebrated actor in India and the Middle East and after the release of Ms. Marvel she is equally well known to a global audience. She has a following of 5 million on Instagram and 1.7 million on Twitter, making her social imprint one of the largest in the world for a female Pakistani star.

In 2019, she was honoured by the President of Pakistan with a National Civil Award, the Tamgha – I – Imtiaz (medal of excellence) for her contribution to the Arts and Pakistani Cinema. That year, The Muslim Vibe, recognised her as one of the top 5 most influential Muslim women in the world. She was recognised by the Prime Minister of Norway in a prestigious ceremony in Oslo where she was bestowed with the Pride of Performance.
Mehwish has won most of the Pakistani awards including several Lux Awards and was most recently honoured at PISA for her outstanding contribution to Pakistani Cinema.

Mehwish is one of the most socially active celebrities in South Asia and the Middle East. Fearless and bold, she has spoken out on global media outlets about human rights abuses and has been particularly vocal about the representation of Muslim and Pakistanis in mainstream media. She has been championing the cause of diversity and inclusivity in media for many years. She has recently been appointed patron of UK Muslim Film charity working with the industry to improve representation of Muslims on screen.
